What are you building in UK padel?

I’m building Vitor Silva Padel with one main goal: getting more people playing padel and enjoying the game.

I want it to be more than just coaching. I want to build a community through 1-to-1 and group coaching, events and tournaments, while developing myself as a coach and player at the same time. Padel is growing so quickly in the UK and I want to be part of that journey.

What does the graft actually look like?

A lot of time on court, a lot of learning and a lot of work behind the scenes.

In addition to my teaching career, I’m working towards my LTA Level 2 qualification, developing my own game, coaching, planning sessions, looking for venues, building relationships, organising events and tournaments and trying to build the Vitor Silva Padel concept from scratch.

There’s plenty that people don’t see, but that’s the exciting part for me — building something of my own around a sport I love.

Why does it matter to you?

Because I genuinely love padel and what it does for people.

It’s competitive, social and incredibly easy to get into. I love seeing someone who might be completely new to the sport start to understand the game, improve and suddenly become obsessed with it.

If I can help more people experience that, then it’s worth it.

What are you chasing next?

Getting my LTA Level 2 qualification is the immediate goal. From there, I want to keep developing as a coach, improve my own game and compete in more LTA tournaments.

With Vitor Silva Padel, I want to keep growing — more players, more coaching, more events and tournaments, and hopefully more great partnerships along the way.

Ultimately, I want to build something that contributes to the growth of padel and makes people want to pick up a racket and get on court.
