What Is Après Padel — And Why It Matters
If you've played padel more than twice, you already know what après padel is. You just might not have had a word for it yet.
It's the drink after the match. The rematch you book before you've even left the court. The conversation in the car park that goes on longer than the game did. The group of people who started as four strangers sharing a court and became a regular Thursday night.
Après padel is the culture around the game.
Where the term comes from
Après is French for “after”. Most people know it from skiing: the food, drinks and social culture that follows a day on the slopes.
Padel has the same thing. The sport is social enough that the time before and after a booking becomes part of the session itself.
What does Après Padel look like?
The hoodie on the drive there. Watching the court before yours. One more drink after the last point. Rebooking before anyone has left. Talking about the same rally in the car park.
It is not a dress code. It is the part of padel that exists outside the 10X20.
The AP Club Après world
AP Club builds clothing around that space as deliberately as the game itself.
Padel Hoodies cover the hours around the game. Padel T-Shirts carry the language of the court into everyday pieces. Padel Layers deal with British game weather.
Together they sit inside Après Padel: clothing rooted in the rituals, people and places around the game.
