A padel court (pista) is 20 metres long and 10 metres wide, which is why you'll see “10×20” on padel kit. It is fully enclosed by glass walls and metal mesh fencing.
Key measurements
- Playing area: 20m × 10m.
- Net: 88cm high in the centre, rising to 92cm at the posts.
- Service lines: 6.95m from the net on each side.
- Back walls: 3m of glass with mesh above to around 4m.
- Side walls: glass near the back, then mesh, stepping down towards the net.
Why the size matters
The court is roughly a third of the size of a tennis court, so rallies are fast, walls are always in play and positioning with your partner matters more than raw power.
